Pretty weak start in the Jura mountain range after the high tow (thanks Fél) with climb rates of 0.3-0.5 m/s and low cloud base.
After the first turnpoint in the West, the way back to the East was a little bit easier until the entry into the Black Forest, where F2 and I took a closer look at the beautiful little airfield of Hütten Hotzenwald. Towards the northern turnpoint (Musbach) and across the Swabian Alb I could finally enjoy strong climbs and high cloudbase.
The Southeastern turnpoint was a tricky one with clouds covering the mountain peaks. Only thanks to a strong thermo-onda near the Zugspitze the last turnpoint was within reach.
Overall, an interesting but tiresome day. |
