Nevertheless, I was really happy that, East of Moutier, cloudbase finally became higher than 1300m AMSL. After 16:00 climbrates weakened considerably again and getting home depended on Goesgen powerplant. Luckily it provided a strong climb, but not higher than 1600m, which meant a 45km glide with Mc 0 and 60m arrival height. In the end the Ventus proved that it not just climbs well, but also has a tremendous glide angle. Great day to (maybe) finish the thermal season.
