| Pretty interesting day due to extremely complicated wind systems, coming from every direction and varying in every valley.
First part of the flight was the scenic low-level tour of Graubünden, always balancing on the edge of the inversion.
The Valais was tricky due to southwesterly wind in the lower levels and a strong northwesterly flow above. Close to Bietschorn a convergence went up to 3700m.
Back east of Furka and Oberalp things changed once again with lots of overdevelopment. The wind increased and caused strong downdrafts and narrow bands of lift on just a few exposed ridges. Near Calanda a strong rotor from 1200m amsl lifted the Ventus straight into weak wave. Unfortunately cloud cover and rain prevented to continue climbing onto final glide altitude.
